You can transfer files to Kinescope from other platforms, such as Vimeo, YouTube, Wistia, JW Player, Dacast, Boomstream video hosting, as well as Amazon AWS, Azure and other cloud services for free. In most cases, all you need to do to start the transfer is to contact us and tell us about your case.
<aside> ☝ During the move, we only ask for tokens with reading permissions, so we won’t accidentally delete something on your current host. We only copy the files to your Kinescope account.

<aside> ⚠️ Attention! Your current hosting provider may charge additional fees for the traffic that occurs during the copy process.

How we migrate from YouTube
Since YouTube does not offer its users with a Business API, we analyze the channel or a list of links and from them we download the one with the highest available video quality. For migration, you need to provide us with a link to a channel or a list of links to individual videos of your preference. These videos must be publicly available for the duration of the migration.
<aside> ⚠️
If a YouTube video is accessed via a direct link, then we will need this direct link to complete the migration. Some videos may not be automatically copied due to the peculiarities of YouTube, in which case we will provide a list of them at the end of the process.

How we migrate videos from other platforms
Each platform is individual. For some platforms we do the process similar to transferring files from Vimeo - we ask for an API key for downloading. In other cases, we can download the videos via direct links. Regardless of the situation, the preparation of a video during the migration process is completely free of charge. We can provide you with further consultation if you have other additional requests.
