Looking for a media file but can't remember which project it's in? In such cases, Kinescope has a handy search tool that helps you quickly find the media file you need, no matter in which project or folder it was downloaded.
To go to the search tool, click on the search bar at the top of the project workspace.
If you are looking for a media file and know its name, just type the name in the search bar and Kinescope will display all matches in your directory as a list.
From here, you can navigate to the folder where the media file you are looking for is stored. To do this, click the three dots on the right side of the search bar, and then click Show in Catalog.
If you want to go directly to the settings, simply double-click on the desired media file name.
If you don't know the exact name of the media file you're looking for, or if you need an advanced search, you can use search filters. Kinescope has the following filters:
To add a filter to your search, click Add Filter, select the desired filter, specify the value you are looking for and click Done. You can combine filters with each other for a more accurate search. The search results update dynamically as you add each subsequent filter.
<aside> 💡 All filters can be used either including or excluding certain parameters. For example, if you want to find all media files uploaded by a particular user, you would specify the user's name in the "this" field in the "Author" filter. If you don't want media files uploaded by that user to be included in the search results, specify the user's name in the "this is not" field. The same logic applies to the other filters.

In case of a large number of matches, you can sort the results. Kinescope provides several sorting options:
